General Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 May 2025

1. Scope & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all orders placed with Graze Social ("we", "our", "us") for food platters, bento‑style boxes, grazing tables and related services through the www.grazesocial.co.uk, grazesocial.com or grazesocial.org website, by telephone or e‑mail. By placing an order, purchasing a Gift Card or redeeming a discount you agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Refund & Returns Policy, Privacy Policy and Food Safety & HACCP Statement.

2. Contract Formation

A contract is formed when we send you an order‑confirmation e‑mail. If we are unable to accept your order (e.g. an item is out of stock) we will inform you and no contract will exist.

3. Gift Cards
  1. Purchase & Delivery – Gift Cards are issued electronically in GBP and e‑mailed to the purchaser (or nominated recipient) once payment clears.

  2. Validity – Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from date of issue. Any unused balance expires automatically.

  3. Redemption – Can be used as full or part payment for our The Taster platter (valued at £50.00). Enter the unique code at checkout; remaining credit is retained until expiry.

  4. Exclusions – Cannot be redeemed for cash, re‑sold, used to buy other Gift Cards or applied retrospectively to orders already placed.

  5. Loss or Theft – Treat Gift Cards like cash. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or unauthorised use. We may, at our discretion, re‑issue unused balances if proof of purchase is provided.

  6. Refunds – Where an order paid (wholly or partly) with a Gift Card is refunded, the refund will be returned to the original Gift Card.

4. Discounts & Promotions
  1. Promo Codes – Promotional codes provide either a percentage or fixed amount off your basket subtotal. They are single‑use, non‑transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  2. How to Redeem – Enter the code during checkout; only one code can be used per order unless explicitly stated.

  3. Restrictions – Codes may specify qualifying products, minimum spend or expiry dates; these will be detailed in the offer.

  4. Right to Retract – We reserve the right to retract or remove a discount if (a) the promotional period stated in the original offer has passed, or (b) you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out in the promotion’s documentation

  5. Misuse – We reserve the right to cancel orders or remove discounts where codes are used fraudulently, duplicated, expired or in breach of these Terms.

  6. Combination – Gift Card balances can be used together with promo codes, provided all other conditions are met.

5. Availability & Out‑of‑Stock Items

We specialise in locally sourced cheeses and charcuterie, availability of which can vary. If an item you have ordered is unavailable:

  • Substitution – We may offer a similar product of equal or greater value at no extra cost.

  • Delay – Where a short delay is expected (e.g. next‑day delivery from the producer) we will offer you the choice to wait or cancel.

  • Cancellation & Refund – If neither substitution nor delay is acceptable, we will cancel the affected item(s) and refund the amount paid using your original payment method within 14 days.
If the unavailable item forms a significant part of a platter or grazing table, you may cancel the entire order for a full refund.

6. Raising a Grievance
  1. Initial Contact – Please notify us of any issue as soon as it arises by e‑mailing contact@grazesocial.co.uk or calling +44 (0)7398 548 528

  2. Information Needed – Provide your order number, date, details of the grievance and any supporting photos.

  3. Our Response – We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business hours and aim to provide a substantive response or resolution within 5 business days.

  4. Escalation – If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to our Owner & Managing Director by writing to marie@grazesocial.com

  5. Alternative Dispute Resolution – As a member of RetailADR, we will engage in ADR where disputes cannot be resolved directly. You can submit a complaint via www.retailadr.org.uk.

  6. Court Action – These Terms do not affect your right to pursue a claim through the courts.

7. Liability

We are liable for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order.

8. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. severe weather, supplier failure, strikes). We will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and will take steps to minimise the effect. You may cancel and obtain a refund if there is a risk of substantial delay.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order will apply to that order. We will post the latest version on our website and update the "Last updated" date.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
